1/21/2024 0 Comments Howrse layoutsJust fiddle with the numbers in the “margin-left” and “margin-top” spaces. The text isn’t in the right place! Well, don’t worry. Oh no! Look what happens when I go to normal mode! And change the _words here_ to “text text text text text” many times, because you want to fill as much space as possible. So I begin by making the text box’s width and height and margin-left and margin-top in a specific number. When coding, the layout boxes and code paragraphs should correspond like this: the boxes at the top are first, and then ones on this side so kinda like reading a comic book: I learned that the hard way! So the first text box will be the one at the top. So I take that paragraph for the text boxes and I post it as many times as I have text boxes. Yours should have only 1 or 2 if it’s your first layout that you’re coding. You can click “normal mode” to check that it looks fine. The maximum width should be 930px, height can be anything from 1-3000 but a range of 500-1300 is more realistic. Okay so now I post that in the layout code where it says “background:url(_)” so that it’sĪfterwards you’re going to make the height and width so that they fit your layout. It’ll be something like “ hosting website/stuff/stuff/name of image/stuff” in my case. Upload it on an image hosting website such as tinypic or photobucket (most of them need you to make an account by the way) and right click – copy image url. Got it? Now, you have your background image on your computer. Those are the building blocks for your layout’s code. So you need as many of those as you have text boxes. The next four paragraphs are the text boxes and you add/remove those there are more/less text boxes. The first paragraph thing, the, is for the background image of the layout. NOTE: that code is slightly different from what is shown in the images because of my mistake. Okay? Now, scroll to the bottom, and paste this in: You need to click on the Writing mode: HTML mode button. At the side you can see something like this: So I go to my page and click edit my presentation. I do coding on my US server, because that way if I mess up it doesn’t mess up my whole page. So for the purposes of this tutorial I’m going to be using this layout, one I made for a friend and really do need to code. Ahhh, coding! The bane of any layout-maker’s life! Oh, this is really truly difficult.
